Story:

“In late spring of 2019, during my gap year between high school and college, I found myself working on a remote homestead in Northern British Columbia. One day, I got a call from one of my best friends from high school. Stuck in a dead-end construction job back in Virginia, he was feeling lost and restless. I told him, ‘Manifest Destiny—meet me out west.’ When my time on the homestead wrapped up, we threw a dart at the map and that is where we would meet – Bozeman, Montana. I flew and he drove out from the east coast. For two months, we roamed across the western U.S., hiking through every national park we could reach.

This road in Arizona looked like it could go on forever, and the symmetry of the scene emboldened me to stand in the middle of the highway to capture the shot while occasionally dodging traffic that was going 100mph.”
