Story:

“It had been a long day in the backcountry. We broke camp at sunrise and, over the course of the day, climbed and scrambled over 7,600 vertical feet (2,300 meters) to reach the summit of Mount Tyndall. Three-quarters of the way up, we’d stashed most of our gear, planning to camp there on our descent. With our packs lightened, we pressed on, tackling the final obstacle—a sharp, precarious ridge covered in loose shale.

As we descended to our new camp, the sun began to set, casting a fiery glow across the peaks and valleys. Ahead of us, Mt. Aspiring stood in full, breathtaking glory. I found myself at a loss for words, captivated by the scene. Waiting for the perfect alignment of the sunset, I finally reached for my telephoto lens and captured the shot. It was an unforgettable day in the high country—one that felt like pure poetry in motion.”
