Symmetry in the Grasslands

Story:

“In February 2023, while traveling through Australia, I made a detour to Tasmania, Australia’s rugged, southernmost island state. With no set itinerary, I stayed at a hostel near Port Arthur, where a few fellow backpackers insisted I take a ferry to Maria Island, even if just for a day. Taking their advice, I set off, and I was immediately struck by the island’s untouched ecology. At the northwestern end of the island, in the wide-open grasslands, there was a flock of grey geese that looked like dinosaurs.  The rolling fields of straw-colored grass were interrupted only by a lone green bush. The symmetry of that bush amidst the landscape caught my eye.”
